He was a Federal Meat Inspector (retired) for the USDA. He was also a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Navy. He is survived by; his wife, Anna Mae (Kimmel) Hayden of Stapleton, AL; his children, Ralph R. (Marecella) Hayden, Jr. of Carmichaels, PA, Thomas D. (Betty) Hayden of Tampa, FL, Ronald P. Hayden of Stapleton, AL, Barbara Ann (William) Adams of California, PA and Martin Patrick (Cindy) Hayden of Young Harris, GA; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1:15 p.m. with military honors. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
