Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years Robbie Hill, his brothers Sammy and Charlie Hill.
Ray retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 20yrs of service in 1970. He was a Purple Heart recipient as well as a POW during the Korean Conflict. Ray received many commendations while serving in the Air Force. Ray later worked for the Department of Energy for 10yrs. Ray was highly educated holding various degrees such as a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master's in Nuclear Science as well as a Doctorate in Psychology.
Ray was a Master Mason obtaining the position of Worshipful Master of his home lodge. He was a member of several Amateur Radio clubs in Albuquerque. Ray and Robbie spent several thousand hours as volunteers at the N.M. Veterans Hospital. Ray enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Ray will be missed by his good friends Charlie and Sonya Parks, Mike Marshall and his recent caregivers Jeremy and Richard Johannes, whose unselfish care helped Ray and Robbie through the final difficult days of his life. He will be missed by many people that had the honor of benefitting from his friendship and benevolence.
