Kenneth Leon Burdick, age 77, took his final step of life's journey on December 1, 2020 and is now in the presence of our Messiah. There are many wonderful things that could be said about this incredible man. Ken had a passionate love for his country, his military, his family and most importantly, his Messiah. Living a life of service Ken started as early as Cub Scouts, followed by Boy Scouts, civil air patrol, and moving that life of service into the United States Marine Reserves (1963-1969), rejoining the military in the Air National Guard (1975-1984), and later transferring to the Army Reserves (1984-1999) where he proudly Retired as a Master Sergeant. Above all else, serving and loving his Messiah was his most important service in his life, living in Messianic Faith; Ken happily, loved and served our Messiah intensely and lived each day obeying the Torah. Born in Guthrie to Levi and Fern Burdick, and later moving to OKC where he graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1961. He went on to further his education at OCU where he graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Economics. He then earned his certification and worked and retired as a CPA. He is survived by his loving wife Judie, his brother Melvin Burdick, his sister Marie Burdick, two grandchildren Justin Kelly and Elisabeth Quigley, and numerous nephews and nieces that he loved deeply. Outside of his life of service, one of Ken's favorite hobbies was Ham Radio, where he received an Amateur Radio License in 1959. With the call sign kb5t, Ken made numerous friends within the Ham Radio group. Above all else Ken was a man of honor, a gentle soul, generous and kind, he was the very definition of a Gentleman. He was greatly loved and will be missed. |
