I received my Novice amateur radio license in 1988, and operated on 10 Meters using my father.s (WB8ZHQ) Yaesu FT-901DM HF radio, and on 220 using my father.s Kenwood TH-31A HT. Shortly after making contacts on 10 Meters I received my 10-10 number, 52894.

I upgraded my license to Technician in 1993, and primarily operated on VHF, and UHF using my Kenwood TH-78A HT. After using that radio for several years a knob broke, and I upgraded to the Kenwood TH-G71A HT. In the past I have even used my TH-G71A to make satellite contacts.

I upgraded my license to General in 2013. Just before I upgraded I was able purchased the Yaesu FT-450D for my birthday.

In 2015, I was able to purchase the Yaesu FTM-100DR for my birthday. As you see, a couple of my birthdays were very good for my stations. I installed the mobile Yaesu radio into my automobile. Find me on HF, 40 meters and above, and/or on VHF/UHF. I'm also a member of ARRL.
