Steven Keith Curry passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the age of 64 after a courageous but short battle with lung cancer. Even through his pain, Steve still found strength to teach us courage, hope, faith and love.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Steve's name to Shriners Hospital.
Steve was born Dec. 12, 1951 in Wichita Falls to Clyde and Edna Curry of Electra. Steve graduated from Electra High School in 1970. He worked 19 years for Southwestern Bell/AT&T and fostered many friendships with co-workers.

From qrz.com:
Hello. My name is Steve and I really enjoy the hobby.
I am what most people consider a dinosaur. The only problem with being a dinosaur is there ain't no future in it, but there is one heck of a past! I was, in fact, born on December 12, 1951. I work for AT&T in a com tech position. The last year has brought changes that keep me more and more at the workplace and therefore my time on he air has been very limited. I want to work to age 70, however my wife Marci (KD5SWD) and daughter Lindsay (KD5DEM) both assure me that is not going to happen. They are voting for 65. (I am hoping they win)!
My current station consists of a YAESU FT-897, LDG AT-897 PLUS TUNER, feed into a 110 foot dipole up about 35 feet.
I am a proud member of the ARRL, Tarrant County Races, and NTS. I am also a ORS for the North Texas Section. My participation in these activities have been, as I mentioned earlier, curtailed due to work. I have as a New Years Resolution, (2015), to make time for these activities, in particular NTS. I really miss traffic handling and especialy my time as an NCS on the local DFW Traffic Net.
Hope to hear you on the air, as well as being heard more on the air...73
