News-Register, McMinnville, Oregon, September 25, 1999 A memorial service for Colin Gregory Sr. of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, McMinn-ville. The Rev. Norman Aldred of Prayer Chapel of St. Francis, McMinnville, will officiate. Interment will be private. Mr. Gregory died Sept. 23, 1999, in Willamette Valley Medical Center, McMinnville. He was 75.He was born May 29, 1924, in Taihape, New Zealand, the son of William C. and Florence Avery Gregory. He was raised and educated in New Zealand, where he also worked on the family farm. He later moved to Uruguay. He and Lullo Matzen were married Dec. 10, 1953, in Portland.He moved in the late 1950s to McMinnville, where he opened Kiwi Electronics. He operated the electronics business until 1983, when it was changed to Video Yogurt Express. He retired in 1990. He moved to Cloverdale in 1996.After retiring, Mr. Gregory enjoyed being a ham radio operator, gardening and fishing. He was a past president of McMinnville Kiwanis Club. Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Morgan of Dayton; a son, Colin Gregory of McMinnville; three brothers, David Gregory, Frank Gregory and Sandy Gregory, all of New Zealand; and five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995.
