I have been licensed since 1990 and I am still active on the HF Bands and enjoy getting on in the evening. My wife was also a Ham, but sadly became a Silent Key, So it's just me and my dog now. Most of our grown children have been Ham's for many years as well, but for now none are currently active. I still keep an APRS station with weather reporting up and running 24/7. I can be found talking with the local Hams on the VHF/UHF Bands from time to time. Mostly on the 147.270 and 443.500 repeaters and also on DMR. I can also be found on the Early Bird Transcontinental Net, E.C.A.R.S, and on the Sea Gul Net or The Bull Net from time to time. I also like to get on 75 and 160 meters in the evening and ragchew, when band conditions allow. I also have a UHF Repeater located on Aborn Hill in Knox, Maine. The frequency is 443.500/448.500 with a 103.5 pl tone. If your in the area by all means make use of the repeater. Best Regards. 73, Tom KD1KE ![]() March 20, 2021 |
