I am the former ARRL Nebraska Section Manager and served in that capacity for 10 years. I am a member of the following clubs: ARRL Life Member, Nebraska Amateur Radio Club (Charter Member & Treasurer), AK-SAR-BEN ARC(Life Member), 3900 Club, SACMARC, SWIARC, Plattsmouth, Lincoln ARC, 10-10 International #49243, Quarter Century Wireles Association and Heartland DX Association. My daughter, and granddaughters reside in Council Bluffs, IA.
My wife Pat (KBØFSI) is employed in the financial field. I am retired, doing honey do's for the wife and getting our home fixed up. On Labor Day weekend of 1998, I suffered a minor stroke. I have learned to take it easy and not let things bother me like I used to.
I am a Past President of the AK-SAR-BEN (1993 & 2006 )and Bellevue ARC's. My wife and I both belong to the American Legion. We are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. I am a usher/greeter. Since I have plenty of free time, I volunteer at church answering phones, sorting mail and whatever else is needed of me. We have two cats, Sandy Rose and Mary Jane and a English setter/ collie mix named Sadie. I proudly served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. We enjoy spending our free time with our granddaughters, Rhiannon and Dianna, and our daughter. In 2005, we had a new garage/deck built on to our house and enjoy sitting out on the deck when the weather is nice. Currently I am the president of Chapter 210.
My equipment consists of the following: ICOM746 PRO, ICOM 718, ICOM 706, ICOM 207H, ICOM 2720, Yaesu VX-1R, Yaesu VX-5R, Kenwood TM-V7A, Wouxon HT's, CS700 DMR, AlincoDR235 MKII, Ameritron AL-811A Amplifier, Ameritron ATR-30 antenna tuner, Kenwood TM281 for packet, Kantronics KAM Plus, and Uniden HR2600, plus all the antennas and accessories to make my station work.
