William B. Dibble, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Friday evening July 27, 2012 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. He was born on June 28, 1925 in Illinois to parents Helen Elizabeth (Weiss) and Arlo Dibble.
Mr. Dibble was a retired Police Office with the Pompano Beach Police Department with over twenty years of service. moving to Lake Placid in 1991 from Pompano Beach. An avid amateur radio operator, he enjoyed photography and playing the organ, was a member of the Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374, Life Member Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661 and the Leisure Lakes Baptist Church. Mr. Dibble is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Phyllis; daughter, Nancy Coleman (Gerry); 2 grandchildren, Jessica Staymates (Matt) and Tracy Coleman; 2 step-sons, Alvin (AJ) Powell and Stafford Campbell (Adele). A service to celebrate Mr. Dibble's life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday August 4, 2012 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid, with Rev. Don Roberts officiating.
