I was originally licensed as a novice in Butte, Montana as KA7INW in 1981 and was a member of the Butte Amateur Radio Club, W7FO. Since 1989 I have lived in and operated in Arizona, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Oklahoma.

I am a third-generation ham. My grandfather was Robert Snell, W7BHP, of Mansfield, Washington. After he became a silent key in 1989, my father, originally licensed as K7GQI, got the callsign of W7BHP. I am also related to KA7FQP and KD7JYM.

I moved to Oklahoma in April 2008. I currently work as a Senior R&D Engineer for Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers designing and testing components for air-cooled heat exchangers that are primarily used in natural gas processing and distribution equipment.

I am a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University [Prescott, AZ] where I received a degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1992.

I am a licensed private pilot and am a Communications Officer and radio operator for the Civil Air Patrol - US Air Force Auxiliary [Oil Well 974]. I have served as a Shared Resources [SHARES] operator for the National Communications System [NCS] through CAP. I was a CAP net control station in both Idaho and Oregon.

I have also been a member of RACES and have participated in the Arizona Traffic and Emergency Net and Columbia Basin Net.
