He loved to spend time with his family and friends and always had a great sense of humor and a warm smile for all. He was a quiet man normally, but he loved to talk on his radio to people all over the world and served many times as a maritime mobile operator as well as assisting in disaster communication in many situations to allow contact between the US and countries in need. He also served on the weather intervention program as a "Storm Spotter" to warn of tornados in Kansas.

The family would like to thank his amazing caregivers, Mary Kay, Faith, Allison, Kim, Jamie, Courtney, Lovie and the entire staff of Thee Hospice, especially Linda, Ruth and Leah. You have made a difficult situation a little more tolerable. We thank you all for becoming part of our family.
