EUREKA - The funeral of Fred M. Kamp, 85, of 700 N. Main, Eureka, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Otto-Argo Funeral Home, Eureka. The Rev. Mike McCoskey will officiate. Burial will be in Bellerive Cemetery, formerly Hiram Cemetery, Creve Coeur, Mo. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
He died at 1 p.m. Thursday (April 9, 1998) at Maple Lawn Health Center, Eureka.
Memorials may be made to Maple Lawn Homes, Eureka.
Mr. Kamp was born Jan. 25, 1913, at St. Louis, Mo., a son of Fred W. and Genevieve Kaiser Kamp. He married Sara Coombes on May 28, 1938, in St. Louis. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Lee M. (Nancy) Kamp, Three Rivers, Mich.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Kamp was a microwave engineer with Phanhandle Eastern Pipeline, Glenarm, for over 30 years. He retired Jan. 25, 1975.
He was a member of Beverly Manor Baptist Church, Washington; Masonic Lodge of Auburn, where he was twice the Worshipful Master of the lodge; and the Order of the Eastern Star of Chatham, where he was a past patron of Loto Chapter. He was a HAM Radio operator for over 70 years.
