Don passed away at home with his wife, Terry, at his side after an extended illness.
He was born in Chicago and moved with his family to Omak in 1940. He graduated from Omak High School in 1949 and enlisted in the AirForce and became a high speed radio operator and his love for everything radio and electronic began. After his discharge he moved to New Jersey and went to work at Bendix Electronics Division in engineering.
He married Mary Cavallo and raised a family. In 1961, he became an Amateur radio operator and upgraded to extra class status with call signs AA2D and KS7C. He was an avid country hunter and DXer and received #1 Honor roll for having worked every country in the world. After his retirement, he attained a master certification to repair organs and tune pianos. Together with his wife Terry he returned to Omak in 1981 and opened a music store until his final retirement.
He was an avid bowler and rolled the elusive 300 game at age 72.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and James Clark; sister, Mabel; and son, Ronald. He is survived by his wife, Terry Clark; his sister, Beverley Ring (Monte); his children, Joseph Clark Jr., of Florida, Robert Clark (Michelle) and Lisa Dabreau, of New Jersey; grandchildren, Casey, Christopher, Dawson, Genevieve, Shane and Jasmine; great-grandchildren; extended family; and friends; as well as his special great niece Anna Schaefer and family in Germany.
At his request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Okanogan County Jr. Bowler Scholarship fund at North Cascades Bank or to any charity of choice.
