N1EKT James J. 'Jim' Farrell Kingston, MA QCWA # 35397 Chapter 112

Hello. I am Jim Farrell, call sign N1EKT. My home QTH is Kingston, MA, one town north of Plymouth (as in Plymouth Rock). My second location is in the town of Salisbury, Vermont, where I operate in the warmer weather months signing as N1EKT/1. I was first licensed in 1962, at the age of 14, as a Technician class and worked on 6 meter am with my Dad, Jim Farrell, Sr. A little more than a year later I upgraded to General Class, back in the days when we were required to send and receive 13wpm. My original call sign was K1WPV, which was in effect from 1962 to 1983 when I in advertently let the call lapse. I renewed in 1986 when I discovered the error and have been under the new call sign since then. I operate on 20m, 15, 10, 2 and other bands and enjoy making new contacts as well as re-connecting with older ones. See you on the airwaves.

73,
Jim
