Ketner, Sr., Andrew J., 74, Mount Union, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at UPMC Altoona. Born June 27, 1947, Huntingdon, son of the late Martin L. and Doris (Walker) Ketner. Preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Dermitt Kruger. Survived by his loving wife, Louise A. (Ticconi), whom he married on June 26, 1971; son, Andrew “A.J.” Ketner, Jr. and wife Nikki, Weirton, WV; four grandchildren, Brody, Devin, Bailey, and Andrew III; brothers, Mike Ketner and wife Mary, Pittsburgh; Shawn Ketner and wife Lynn, Mill Creek; and 13 nieces and nephews. Andrew was a 1965 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School where he excelled in football, wrestling, and track. He graduated from Lycoming College in 1970 with a BA degree in Physics and Math and was also on the football and wrestling teams. Andrew worked most of his career with North American Refractories. He worked at several factories in a variety of positions, including Mount Union, State College, Pittsburgh, and Alabama. Andrew retired from Overhead Door, Lewistown as a purchaser/buyer. He served on the Mount Union Area School Board and was a member of the Huntingdon County Amateur Radio Club and the Mount Union Astronomy Club. Andrew was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football. He also coached the Mount Union Bengals Pee Wee Football, elementary wrestling, and little league and teener league baseball. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
