COLUMBIA - Services for Floyd A. Glasser, 82, of Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Seth Yi, Rev. Dr. John C. Brearley and Rev. Robert M. Brearley. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Arsenal Hill A.R. Presbyterian Church, 1103 Laurel St., Columbia, SC 29201.Mr. Glasser died Saturday, June 11, 2005. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, he was the son of the late George and Alma Schaus Glasser. He was a faithful member of Arsenal Hill A.R. Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and Clerk of Session. He was the last training engineer for the Canadian National Railway. Mr. Glasser had retired as Service Manager from Tamper, Inc. He was a life member of Cayce Masonic Lodge #384 and a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association, Inc. Mr. Glasser was a man of extraordinary talents who was willing to help anyone in any way. He could fix or make just about anything. One of his greatest interests was trains. He kept up with friends through ham radio and EchoLink. Mr. Glasser appreciated plants and flowers and took pride in growing them. He enjoyed cooking and was known as the "muffin man." He sewed many gifts for family and friends. He was fond of reading, working crossword puzzles, and fishing. Above all, Mr. Glasser loved his Lord, his family, and his friends. Surviving are his wife, Mary Kate Brearley Glasser of Columbia; daughters and son-in-law, Janet and Bill Wallace of Wake Forest, NC, Dianne Glasser of Columbia; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Margaret and John Mitchum of Columbia; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Dr. William and Cheryl Brearley of Lexington, Rev. Robert M. and Mary Ann Brearley of St. Simon's Island, GA, Rev.
