First licensed at age 14 in 1957 as WN2TPV in Greene, NY. Graduated from US Air Force Academy in 1965. Married my childhood sweetheart, Marty, on graduation day. She was licensed as WB2VYK in 1966, andis still active. She claims I taught her cw on our honeymoon. Past president of Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association in Colorado Springs, Co 1972-73. Licensed as N4FP (N4 Fighter Pilot, sequential, not a vanity call) while flying F-106 fighter interceptors at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA in 1974. Left active duty Air Force in 1979 and moved to Greensboro, NC. Retired from Air Force Reserve in 1990 as Lt Col. Computer consultant since 1979 supporting small business networks and accounting software. Moved to The Villages, FL in May 2011 where any antenna is okay as long as it looks like a 22 ft flagpole, or is invisible. Moved to Ocala, FL in Feb 2016, 1 acre lot loaded with 80 tall Oak Trees. Have a 160 meter inverted L at 65 ft, 80 and 40 meter fan dipoles at 60 ft, anda TH-7DX yagi atop a 40 ft tower. Primary rig is Flex 6300 driving AL-811H. Prefer cw but do work some ssb and digital.
