Russell Hamilton Tex Kidwell Jr., 90, of Reedville passed away October 6, 2022.
He is survived by his son, Russell H. Kidwell III; and his daughter, Hope R. Kidwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Jean Kidwell.
Russell attended Washington Lee High School in Arlington. After high school, he joined the U. S. Navy. Upon leaving the Navy, he worked for the Arlington County Fire Department for 32 years. He was also an amateur radio enthusiast and enjoyed teaching others on how to operate them. He also had a deep passion for animals. Russell was a loving father and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Monday, October 10, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
