Melville McCarthy, Tallahassee, FL; and six children - Mary Ann Wells, Acampo, CA; Edward Trentham McCarthy, Baton Rouge, LA; Caroline McCarthy Conway, New Orleans, LA; Brian Capers McCarthy, Charlotte, NC; Margaret Amelia McCarthy, New Orleans, LA, and Dudley Noel McCarthy, Brooklyn, NY; as well as nine grandchildren.
