Russell William Anderson, 92, of Livonia, born to Clarence and Dorthea Anderson, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022 in his home with family by his side.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 71 years, Emily Anderson; father to Christian (Elaine), Randolph, Marvin, Audrey Hinchman, Teresa (Mike) Baidas Foster, and Clarence (Beth); 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Gordon, and Loren; sisters, Marjorie Rysztak and Karen Harper, as well as daughter-in-law, Susan Anderson.
Russell was a Korean War Veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 - 1953. Upon returning home, he resumed his employment with Detroit Edison from where he retired in 1990, after 41 years.
He enjoyed his family, adventures of travel, camping, riding motorcycles and his HAM Radio. He was proud to be N8EEA. He loved connecting with people from around the world.
Visitation will be held at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154 on Tuesday, August 30th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 31st at Manns Family Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
