Geraldine R. Preston RN BRATTLEBORO NF1C Gerry became a silent key on July 1, 2009, at Caribou, Maine. Amateur radio operator Geraldine Preston was born in Brookline on Nov. 25, 1926, the youngest of twin daughters born to Gerald and Ruth May Osgood Allbee. Mrs. Preston was a registered nurse, in Brattleboro for many years. She had a true love for amateur radio, tinkering in her workshop, the Red Sox, the outdoors, and animals.
She leaves her daughter, Holly Preston of Washburn, Maine; a brother, Lester Allbee or Townsend, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James D. Preston in 1985.
FUNERAL NOTICE: At Mrs. Preston's request, there will be no funeral services held at this time. Interment will be in the Brookline Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs.Preston may do so through your local humane society, or the Grace Cottage Hospital Fund in Townsend, VT.
