NQ4D Roy L. Johnson Hayden, AL QCWA # 14669 Chapter 40

I am in Blount County Alabama and my Grid Square is EM63ov.

I was first licensed in 1953 as WN5YXZ in Gulfport Mississippi. I soon upgraded to General and became W5YXZ. It was a pretty good CW call, but was a real tongue twister on Phone. Other Call signs I have held were WA4FFA, WA5NKY and K5KM.

My working career was spent with AT&T Long Lines, South Central Bell and BellSouth Services until I retired in November 1991.

I am a member of ARRL, QCWA , SKCC and the Blount County Alabama Radio Club (www.w4blt.org).
