Howard Ernest "Andy" Anderson was born on 8 November 1921 in Centerville, Iowa to Ernest Albert Anderson and Helen Mary Eid. At the age of 4 the family moved to Fort Collins. After graduation from Fort Collins High School in 1939, Andy moved to San Diego, CA to work at Consolidated Aircraft. On a trip home he married Arlene Simianer in 1943. In 1944 he joined the United States Navy where he was trained in machine repairs. Andy and Arlene returned to Fort Collins, CO in 1946 after the war was over. He worked on the Horsetooth Dam project until 1949 when they returned to San Diego. In 1953 their daughter Susan was born. After his divorce, Andy lived in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. He retired and returned to Fort Collins, CO in the 1980's.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Susan, two grandsons, six great grandchildren, one sister, two nephews and a niece.
