Jamey "Jay" Clyde Brookover, 63, of Cary, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home on Willowbrook Drive in Cary.
Jamey was born March 8, 1953 in Fairmont, WV to the late Darwin Oldham Brookover and Phoebe Louise Coombs Brookover. He was a graduate of Fairmont State University with degrees in music, journalism and information science. He learned how to use his skills from college and the Willow Creek Church in Bloomington, IL. Jamey was employed with First Citizen's Bank as a main frame capacity planner. He enjoyed amatuer radio and his call sign was WB8BMV and later changed to NT4D. Jamey and Debbie renewed their vows in World of Warcraft with his avatar Stemere and his wife's avatar Nipit. Jamey loved taking his wife to the beach, Washington D.C Zoo to see the Pandas.
Jamey is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Gower Brookover; daughter number one, Stephanie Jo Brookover and daughter number two, Meredith Lynn Brookover (Mike Martin); and his beloved dogs, Rosco and Maxine.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2016 at White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary.

He has completed his final voyage by saying "Beam Me Up Scotty"
