H. C. 'Bud' Kingsbury Portuguese Cove, NS Canada QCWA # 30375 Chapter 70 |
H. C. Kingsbury Jr (Bud), PEng - 81 of Portuguese Cove passed away peacefully at the VG, QEII Hospital on February 26, 2011.
He was the son of the late HC Kingsbury Sr. and Lillian (King) Kingsbury. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Maureen (White) Kingsbury, daughters Lyn Kirk (Barry), Lee Paul (Michael), sons Robert Kingsbury (JoAnne), and Patrick Kingsbury (Tami) as well as six granddaughters, one grandson, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bud was a graduate of Dalhousie University and TUNS. He was a lifetime member of the RNSYS and past president of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was retired from Maritime Tel and Tel after 38 years.
Bud enjoyed gardening, hunting golf, skiing, sailing and spending time at 'the camp'.
Above all else he loved his family dearly.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 1, 2-4 and 6-8pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax where a service will be held Wednesday March 2nd, 2pm, Fr. Lloyd O.Neill officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
