MANN, Earl Harold - VE3EHM July 10, 1921 - August 15, 2008. Peacefully, after spending time at his beloved cottage on Lake Kasshabog. Loved spouse of Shirley (nee Smyth) for 50 years. Predeceased by Bernice (nee Vallis). Predeceased by parents, Harold and Beth; son, Greg and sister, Audrey Hendry. Beloved father of Gary (Gayle), Susan Trayes (John), Ian (Lorraine) and Donna Campbell (Howard). Loving grandfather to Jennifer, Sara, Michelle, Matthew, Steven, Robert and Derek. Earl taught us how to live a life well.
During his formative years in Galt, he excelled in academics and found time to obtain a radio operator licence at the tender age of 16. Earl enjoyed his radio hobby greatly throughout his life. A respected Wing Commander in the RCAF (AUX) 2R and CU.
Earl established a foundation for leadership that he continued to share generously with his church, community and working career during his years in Rexdale. Earl built the cottage on Kasshabog as a haven for family and leaves us with beautiful memories of the past and a lasting legacy of his spirit.
Friends will be received for memorial visitation at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St and Andrews St, Cambridge on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 1 pm until the time of the memorial service at 2 pm.
