COOPER, Robert Fraser VE3FC Born 28 March 1940 - Deceased 16 March 2011 "Well folks, it's finally happened, l've fallen off my perch. My Mum and Dad were Robert and Anne Cooper, of Guelph. Dad was Canadian; Mum was a Scot; l've been Canadian by birth but Scottish by inclination all my life." Son of Robert and Anne Cooper, both deceased. Beloved best friend, companion and husband of Jill Douglas. Deeply missed by Jill's mother, Lucille Douglas, and Jill's children, Christie Wynn (Tim Tonner), Douglas Wynn (Karen) and Linda MacMillan (Kier and their children Breagh and Brin). Survived by his children from a previous life; Catherine Anne, Derek Fraser and Mathew Robert. Fraser, an Engineering Technologist, taught Telecommunications at Conestoga College for most of his working life. His hobbies included amateur radio, hiking and backpacking. However, his main interest was in British cars, particularly MG sport cars, one of which he owned and loved since 1963. Fraser was an active member of the British Saloon Car Club of Canada, Cambridge Amateur Radio Club and the Millrace Folk Society. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit at Grand River Hospital or Cambridge Humane Society would be appreciated. "(In closing), I want you to be as happy for me as I am for myself. I've had a good run, and it's time for me to go."
