MILNE _ Harvey William It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Harvey William Milne on Monday, April 2, 2007, at the Alberta Hospital, Ponoka; at the age of 89 years.
Harvey was born in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on September 19, 1917. Harvey was predeceased by his first wife Florrie in 1981, brother Don in 1970 and brother Jim in 2005. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Gladys; his stepchildren, Marie (Daryl), Don (Holly), Ron (Joan) and Cory (Glenda) and all their children. Harvey is survived by a special nephew, Gary Milne and many extended family.
He was a veteran with the RCEME. His passions were ham radio, since 1938 (VE6JV), radio and TV electronics and traveling with his airstream as a member of the Calgary Jeep Club. We all remember Harvey as a "True Gentleman".
He experienced health challenges in the last few years of his life and his family would like to thank the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Colonel Belcher Hospital, and the Alberta Hospital, Ponoka, and their staff for their kind support and care.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 3:00 pm.
