Bone, Merle C. Jr. Died in faith June 11, 2016.
Beloved husband of Hallye Bergmann Bone, Merle served as CIO and Chief Auditor of Shell Oil Company, Houston, Texas. Prior to that, he spent seven years in the US State Department. He traveled the world during his careers.
He is survived by wife Hallye Bone and daughter Pamela Bone of Houston, Texas, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A 1963 graduate of Normandy High School, he graduated from Washington University in electrical engineering. He attended Harvard University's Graduate Program for Management Development in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1985.
An amateur radio hobbyist since 1962, Merle was known as WØEWM. His key is silent. He accumulated hundreds of contacts across the globe. (I suspect thousands of contacts is closer to the truth! Webmaster, NØUF)
Services: Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at The Lodge at Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Road. Burial will be in Waco, Texas.
