Raymond Henry Friesz, 94, of Raytown, MO, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church. Raymond was born May 18, 1915, in Keytesville, MO, to Henry O. and Jennie Mae (Voss) Friesz and had lived in this area most of his life. He retired as a Vice President and General Manager for Signalcrafters, Inc. and prior to that had been a Vice President with Burstein- Applebee. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church and an avid ham radio operator, call sign, WØHRG. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Alice Friesz in 2003. Survivors include a daughter, Gayle F. Cooper of Raytown, MO, a son, David R. Friesz of Mesa, AZ, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
