Harold was born in Poplar Bluff Mo. the son of Humbert and Clara Mauk Duckworth.

He was married May 6 1950 to Mary K Markway of Wardsville.

He was a communication Engineer with the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 30 years retiring in 1981. He was in the Army Signal Corps WWII.

He attended Washington University the U of Missouri and Lincoln U in Jeff City.
