J. PATRICK CORRIGAN, West Des Moines

J. Patrick Corrigan, 64, of the 200 block of 52nd Street, West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Patrick Irish Settlement Church near Cumming, with burial at the church cemetery.

Mr. Corrigan was born in St. Paul, Minn., and had lived there as a youth. He had lived in Hawaii many years before moving to West Des Moines four years ago.

He was a customer service worker with Wellmark of Iowa and had formerly owned and operated an import-export business and worked for U.S. Customs Service in Hawaii.

He was a Navy veteran and a member of Warren Masonic Lodge and a past grandmaster of Masons in Hawaii.

He was a member and past president of the Des Moines Radio Amateur Association.

A sister, Mary Pat Eldredge of West Des Moines, survives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgine.

Friends may call an hour prior to the time of services today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Overton Funeral Home in Indianola is handling arrangements.
