Photo courtesy WØRN Harry Snyder, WØNVE/WØRN also used "real up-town" commercial gear -- such as this Eldico SSB-100 with SSB-1000 amplifier. The SSB-100 ended with a 5894, while the amp had 4CX250Bs, and was hard to tune correctly. Below, center, is a Drake 1A receiver, along with a Knight-Kit general coverage receiver. Harry is still using his BC-453 50kc IF strip, and has a Heathkit SWR bridge. While on AM, his antenna was a 140-foot Inverted L, but when he moved to SSB he used a coax-fed doublet, 80/40/20 on the same feedline.
