Bob and Glady moved to Wi in 1986 and he wrote 600 letters to hams in south east Wisconsin area to recruit hams to start a chapter here. He was successful in that enough members responded to allow the chartering of QCWA CH 162 in 1987. He served as Sec/Treas until Nov 2003. Bob was an Elmer to many, a VEC, and on the board of all the local ham clubs. He maintained weekly schedules with ham friends on HF until last fall. Bob was very active, the very personification of what an amateur should be in thought and actions. He will be very much missed. 73 Ken N9NBC Chapter 162 Sec/Treas |
