David Littlewood of Lebanon, New Hampshire died at home on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in the presence of loved ones. David was born on January 20, 1933, in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. He is the son of Thomas Leslie Littlewood and Annie Littlewood (nee Martin).
David served as a medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps from 1952 - 1959 (three years with colours and four in the reserve) His discharge papers describe him as being "a sober, honest and reliable man. He has proved conscientious and dependable in his work". David was a Fellow of the of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science, having obtained various degrees and diplomas in virology, bacteriology, hematology and blood transfusion from Manchester and Sheffield Colleges of Science and Technology as well as Wakefield College of Science and Technology.

David was an avid amateur radio enthusiast, licensed and active from 1951 to the time of his death. To those familiar with amateur radio, he was known by his various call signs - W1GN, K1DL, WB1AGG, and G3HWU. He particularly enjoyed working experimentally with antennas. His other great passion - and only vice - was smoking tobacco.
He was also a member of the of the Lebanon Rotary Club for a number of years, serving as president from 1988 - 1989. He was particularly proud of the recognition he received in 1987 for his succesful efforts to coordinate the Rotary's radio auction that year.
In retirement David used his time taking care of Longley Heys, the condominium he helped create with his former wife, Jenny Littlewood. He loved to "putter about" as he said, and spent a lot of time caring for the property.
David was a responsible father and provider who loved his children, rather in deed than in word, and he was proud of them.
He is survived by his former wife, Jenny Littlewood of Orford, NH, a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Tracey Hewes of Lebanon, NH, and his son and daughter in law, Sean and Vibeke Littlewood and his two grandchildren, Signe and Isak, all of Faxe, Denmark.
