William Roger Tamm, 80, of Bowling Green, FL passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at AdventHealth Sebring. He was a born in Ware, Massachusetts on June 7, 1941 to Charles and Rebecca (Buzzell) Tamm. William was a veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam as a missile tech. William spent his career (1965
- 2002) working in the fiber optics industry having been employed by several companies during that time American Optical Corp, 3M, Lucent and Nuform. He had lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and South Dakota before retiring in Florida. William was a member of Highlands County Amateur Radio Club and USCCA Amateur Radio Operators W1MIV. He was very active enjoying hiking, biking and was an avid camper. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheryl Raymond. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Tamm; daughters, Kelly Beth ( Ianello) Summer and Heidi Lynn Tamm; step-son, Michael Kane McCarthy; brother, Robert Paul Tamm; and grandson, Gavin.
