Thomas E. Hooper, 88, of Old Lyme, CT, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 after a brief illness. Born in Hartford, he formerly lived in West Hartford and Enfield before retiring to Rogers Lake in Old Lyme. Tom was an avid amateur radio operator. A graduate of Hall High School in 1945, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Radioman Third Class aboard the USS Sicily during World War II. He later attended Hillyer College before working in the electronic component field. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, two sons & their wives, and his granddaughters.
