John Nalavany, 95, of Linden, NJ, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden, NJ, on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Elizabeth, NJ, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden.

He was employed by NY Bell Telephone Co. for 35 years as an equipment engineer, retiring in 1981. John was Navy veteran of World War II and an amateur radio operator with the call letters W2GMV.
He was a member of the Deutscher Club in Clark, NJ, and St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary V. Nalavany (Oct. 17, 1985), and a brother, Joseph Nalavany (1972). He was the loving father of two sons, John P. Nalavany and his fiancee, Minerva Siso, and Gary Nalavany and his wife, Noemi, and a daughter, Cynthia Nalavany Gomez and her husband, Jose Gomez; he was the grandfather of Sarah and Ivan Nalavany and brother of Michael.
