Claire Toby (nee Deutsch) Rosenbaum, age 93, a resident of River Edge NJ since 1960 passed away peacefully on Thursday January 25, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Daniel I. Rosenbaum. Devoted mother of Francine M. Axelrod and her husband Mark, Nancy B. Rosenbaum and her husband Gil Glass, and Shelley L. Rosenbaum Lipman and her husband Derrell Lipman. Proud grandmother of Eric and his wife Lauren, Abbi and her husband Jay, Kerra and Wensley. Adored great-grandmother of Devin and Logan. Loving sister of Stewart Deutsch and his wife Myra Lee, and the late Harvey Deutsch. Claire is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in history from Long Island University and a Master's Degree in Special Education from William Paterson University. Claire was one of the founders of the River Dell chapter of Hadassah where she served as the first president and was also a member of Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge. As a life-long lover of learning she was proud of traveling to over 55 countries. Claire remained active, engaged, and vibrant throughout her life and she will always be an inspiration to her family. Services will be 12:45 PM Sunday January 28, 2018 at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13-01 Broadway (Route 4 West), Fair Lawn NJ. Entombment will follow at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus NJ.
