Robert L. Treadwell, 91 yrs, a life long resident of the area, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2015. Bob was born in Peekskill on February 16,1924 to Lester and Edna Marquart Treadwell. On February 26,1946 he married Gertrude (Trudy) McChain; she predeceased him on March 3, 2007. They first met at the Peekskill Roller Rink and continued to skate until 2006. Bob was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peekskill since the 1940s. He worked at IBM in Yorktown for many years as an electronics technician. Bob is survived by his daughter Patricia Jacobs, 3 grandchildren; Donald Ingersoll, Daniel Ingersoll and Joelle Jacobs, 3 great grandchildren and his sister Edie Ludington. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Thursday February 26, at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday, February 27, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
