Carroll A. Hamlet

Carroll A. Hamlet, 84, of Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home, Snydersville. He was the husband of Dolores (Gogan) Hamlet.

Born in Hempstead, New York, he was the son of the late Carroll A. and Merle (Rogers) Hamlet. He was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 11 years, and prior to that, he resided in Uniondale, New York. He was employed as a estimator for the Sperry Land Corp. of Lake Success, New York, for 40 years. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, Dolores, he is survived by two sons: Mark Hamlet of New York City, and Richard A. Hamlet and wife Grace of Stroudsburg; and two daughters: Gail Otskey and husband Thomas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mary Plut and husband Frank of Hackettstown, New Jersey; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
