DiBLASI - John S., 85 of Leisure Knoll, Manchester, NJ, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Lakewood, NJ.

He owned and operated John DiBlasi & Associates, Great Neck, NY for 40 years before retiring in 1982. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was a communicant of St. John's R.C. Church, Lakehurst, NJ. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council #10022, the Italian-American Club, the Golf Club, and the Fishing Club all of Leisure Knoll. He was also a member of the Army O.S.S. Association and the Quarter Century Wireless Association.

Born in Queens, NY, he lived in Syosset, NY before moving to Manchester in 1987.

Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Rosary (Piazza) DiBlasi, a son and daughter-in-law, John T. and Diane DiBlasi of Fresh Meadows, NY, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Eveann and Bob Giroux of Seaside Heights, NJ and Theresa and Mark Rust of New Paltz, NY. Also surviving is a brother, Paul DiBlasi of Hilton Head, SC, a sister,ucille Stocker of Greenport, NY and 6 grand-children, Stephen, Ian, Paula, Alex, Siena, and Christina.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ. Funeral Liturgy will be Thursday at 9:30am at St. John's Church, Lakehurst, with interment to follow at the Brigadier Gen. William Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
