W3EME - Todd H. Brooks
First Call: N3QFZ issued in 1993

I have been a licensed ham since 1993 and for 20 years I focused primarily on VHF and UHF weak signal and contest roving. In March 2014 I upgraded my licence to General and got my vanity call W3EME on the same day, March 15, 2014! I have committed and am now a lifetime member of the ARRL.

I am currently working on DXCC, WAC, VUCC, and WAS. I have been an ARRL member since 1993 and I am now a LIFE MEMBER!!.

I'm building an HF mobile based on my Kenwood TS-480HX 200W rig and a Tarheel 100 HP (High Power) screwdriver antenna and Tunematic auto tuner maybe I'll work you mobile!!!

I work for the US Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, in the weather satellite control center near Washington DC. I have been employed by NOAA for 25 years.

I am a supporter of the DX Code of Conduct
I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.
I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.
I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.
I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.
I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.
I will always send my full call sign.
I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.
I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.
I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.
I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.
When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.
I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.
I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.

My other hobbies include competitive surfing and snowboarding as well as mountain biking and skateboarding.

I hope to work you on the bands soon!
73 and good DX condx to you!!
