Elmer R. Bush, 87, of Hanover Twp., died on Monday, December 14, 2015.
He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Elmer and Evelyn (Lawrence) Bush. He was the loving husband to Helen (Perch) Bush. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past September.
Elmer worked for Barker and Williamson Electronics as a manager retiring in 1991. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from February 1946 to March 1948 in the South Pacific.
His memberships included: The American Radio Relay League, Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club, Frankford Radio Club, Quarter Century Wireless Association, the Silver Wings Fraternity, and the Quiet Birdmen.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen; sons, Robert Bush and spouse, Gayle of Landisville, PA; James Bush and spouse, Jane of Walnutport; two daughters, Nancy Riley and spouse, Audry Mckinney of Austin, TX; and Kathryn Showak and spouse, Christopher of Slatington; four grandsons and two great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Loring, Floyd and Charles and a sister, Doris Masonheimer.
Services: Services have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem and will be private at the convenience of the family.
