Hagerstown - Jack Lorne Willock, 96, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Doey's House, Hagerstown. Born May 12, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of the late, John Armour and Pearl (Maynard) Willock. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Birch) Willock and a step granddaughter, Tiffany Greiner. Mr. Willock retired as a Sergeant Major from the US Army Signal Corps having served in the European Theater in WW II and many International assignments in Europe, Africa, Asia and various countries around the world in his 20 year career. He was a life member of the Morris Frock American legion Post 42, a member of the Antietam Radio Association, the 157th Combat Engineer Association and MARS (Military Auxiliary Radio System). Mr. Willock is survived by three children, Jacquelyn J. "Lyn" Goodrich (James), Douglas L. Willock (Linda) and Ian G. Willock (Shirley); eight grandchildren, Bradley Willock (Rebecca), Kelly Brunner (Christopher), Megan Sutten (Jesse), Sara VanBrackel (Ryan), Daniel Goodrich, Nichole Willock, Cullen Willock (Kylie) and Conner Willock; two step grandchildren, Amber and Sean Nuice and 26 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, December 3, 2021at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Bradley Willock (grandson) officiating. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask. Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to Hospice of Washington County (Doey's House) 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to the Antietam Radio Association.
