Daniel P Detwiler 1927 - 2010 Daniel Detwiler passed away in Claremont, CA on April 9, 2010 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Woodbury, PA. He graduated from Swarthmore College and Yale University. He taught Physics at CSUB for 35 years before moving to Claremont in 2007.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Detwiler and Michael Cross; daughter, Susan Detwiler; son, Paul Detwiler; and grandchildren, Colin and Katy Cross. He was preceded in death by wife, Ann Meckes Detwiler in 1987 and wife, Laura Buck Dennison in 2009.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swarthmore College, Development Office, 500 College Ave., Swarthmore, PA 19081 (gift.swarthmore.edu).
A memorial service is being planned for mid-May in Bakersfield.
