James C. Haube, 88, of Buffalo Twp. and formerly of Natrona Heights passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Allegheny Valley Hospital. He was born November 15, 1926 in Tarentum; son of the late Rene V. and Olive Mae (Charles) Haube. He has lived in Tarentum, Bakerstown and Natrona Heights his entire life. James was a Radio and Broadcast engineer for WTAE-TV, Pittsburgh for 19 years as well as various other stations; he also owned an antique store in Bakerstown for 16 years. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a WWII Veteran serving in the US Army and Merchant Marines. James was a member of various amateur radio clubs and his call sign was W3OER. He was a 1943 graduate of Tarentum High school and attended 3 semesters at Penn State University. James was an amateur radio enthusiast. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eleanore Irene (Pagnin) Haube; step son, Jean Claude Pascotto, Los Angeles, CA; step grandchildren, Nicole (Edward) Rodriguez and Natalie (Ramon) Tejeda, both of Los Angeles, CA and a step great granddaughter, Gema Tejeda; also surviving is a brother, Stephen (Reta) Haube, Tunnellton, WV. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edmond D. Haube. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Monday at 11AM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm, IV, officiating.
