Kenneth Bruce "Ken" LLoyd was born on February 25, 1902, in Pennsylvania. He was first on the air in 1916 using a Ford spark coil and crystal detector, before graduating from Erie High School. In 1922, Ken was SCM for Western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University. Shortly thereafter, he was employed as a chemist in a paper mill. Ken remained in the papermaking business for most of his career. By 1960, he had risen to supervisor at the Hammermill Paper Company in the Erie area, where Ken and his wife Martha made their home for many years. Ken passed away on November 6, 1991.
