Herbert Allen Hadley, 89 of Monocacy, PA died on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA.
Born May 27, 1929 in Baumstown, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Howard Hadley and the late Bessie (Freyberger) Hadley.
Herb married Mildred A. (Walt) on March 16, 1952.
He worked at Berks Refinery from 1952 to 1974; he then became the power plant manager at The Hill School until retiring in 1994. Herb was a master electrician with a keen mechanical mind.
He was a graduate of the Birdsboro High School.

He was a HAM Radio operator for over 60 years with the call sign W3WER logging hundreds of contacts from around the world.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Melissa C. wife of Martin Darocha of Birdsboro, PA and Jeannine M. Hadley of Daytona Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Darocha of Birdsboro, PA and Zachary Stapleton of Daytona Beach, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Miriam Fletcher of Baumstown.
He was predeceased by daughter, Christine Hadley, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
