Frank Wadley Thrash, 81, of Crawfordville passed away on November 4, 2018 in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Thrash.
Wadley was a great husband and her best friend; wonderful grandfather to Elizabeth and Sarah Beaty; awesome great grandfather to Lilly Beaty, C.J. Nellum, Josh and Maverick Moore, Eli and Delilah Corathers.
We miss him terribly already. He enjoyed showing the boys special tips on their baseball skills.
After the Navy he worked and retired from Radio Holland Marine Electronics in New Orleans, LA.
He was a Ham operator for many years and a member of the ARRL Amateur Radio League.
He grew up in Macon, GA where he was a Radio Announcer in his early years. He was known as Daddy "O" Long legs because he was 6'6" tall. He played percussion in the New Orleans Civic Symphony which he really enjoyed.
He trusted Jesus and knew Him as his Savior. Escorted by Angels into the presence of the Lord, he is comforted. His trials and suffering are past.
David Conn of Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey Young Chapel in Crawfordville is assisting the family. (www.bevisfh.com or 850-926-3333).
